As Jews around the world observe The Jewish Day of Atonement / Yom Kippur tonight, many are remembering the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War. The universal “Let It Be” in its Hebrew version (with English subtitles) from that war still resonates today.
Wishing those observing this holiday a meaningful and easy fast!
Len-Artists Photo Challenge #266: The Passage of TIme
It has been 22 years since the 9/11 attacks and still every year new stories are being shared by people that were near where the attacks took place. The passage of time has not diminished the effect of what happened on those who were physically in the area. I know as I am one of those who were in NYC at the time and the aftermath affected my everyday life for an extended period afterwards. So every year, I remember my colleague’s only son who was killed at the WTC and listen to new stories (like the one shared above) while simply remembering despite the passage of time.
